UK: Dragon Dynasty comes to UK via Showbox

SHOWBOX ANNOUNCES UK DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY FOR DRAGON DYNASTY LABEL
Continuing its dedication to provide outstanding Asian Cinema to British audiences, Cine-Asia is proud to announce the signing of a distribution deal with The Weinstein Company, owner of Dragon Dynasty, the market-leading Asian cinema brand in North America. Under the agreement, Cine-Asia will distribute a number of world-acclaimed classic movies plus major recent productions on DVD in the UK.
Each Dragon Dynasty DVD possesses a unique and carefully crafted identity, and includes many informative and exclusive special bonus features such as rare behind-the-scenes footage, deleted scenes, out-takes, and specially commissioned documentaries and interviews featuring cast members, filmmakers and celebrity enthusiasts of Asian film.
Cine-Asia, owned by the people who pioneered the growth of Asian cinema in the UK more than decade ago through the Hong Kong Legends and Premier Asia labels, has recently enjoyed significant success with high-profile releases of Ip Man, The Myth and Chocolate. The Dragon Dynasty titles will be an important addition to this increasingly prestigious catalogue.
Classic Dragon Dynasty titles to be distributed by Cine-Asia will kick-off with Jet Li in Fist of Legend, the definitive tribute to Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury and widely regarded by fans and critics alike as Jet Li's greatest pure martial arts movie. Further titles include Tai Chi Master, co-starring Michelle Yeoh, and The Legend, directed by action-maestro Corey Yuen-kwai (The Transporter 1 & 2). All these releases will be issued as digitally-restored special editions featuring original language tracks with supporting English subtitles and a range of exclusive bonus materials.
Among the new productions are Benny Chan's Invisible Target, an explosive blend of breathtaking martial arts, gunplay and free-running, Robin-B-Hood, in which Jackie Chan sets out on a death-defying quest to save a very special baby from a brutal crime syndicate and Wilson Yip's Kill Zone (SPL), considered to be one of the best Asian martial arts movies of the last decade.
