What game would you like to be made into a movie?

Even though they seem to get messed up a lot, I would love to see a movie of Flashback. To those that dont know, Flashback was about a guy who lost his memory and was dumped in a jungle on mars and had to get back to earth. It made an appearance on the Megadrive and Amiga and was 2D but you wont believe how great it was for an old game. You can run, roll, pull yourself up ledges, use keys, forcefields, take out your gun, sidestep, shoot etc. The animation, music, sound effects are absolutely brilliant. A true classic and one of my favorite games.

Anyway it would be brilliant to have a movie of this. Totall Recall and Serenity are a lot like it but not as much as I hoped. It would be so great if someone made this right and had the same music and feel. It would defiently be my favourite sci-fi film.

The one game i used to always hope would eventually come out as a movie was the truly excellent Shadowrun on the SNES.

It seems Rutger Haur was destined to play that part. Or conversly it seems the game creators have watched split second and made the game around that idea.

If you cant remember what its like then then dig it out an you'll see why I would like to see a movie of it. However, I'm pretty sure the amiga version has half the animation cut out from the megadrive. The one I had did anyway. Nevertheless, still great.

Another game I would like to see into a movie is Soldiers of Fortune (aka, The Chaos Engine)

Final Fight (preferably with an 18 certificate and exploding wrestlers, some clad in S&M garb), Rolling Thunder (something suave and colourful, with music by somebody French, like Thomas Bangalter or somebody) and Devil May Cry (though this would never be as ultra-cool as the game.)

Killer 7 would be good, too, if they could find a director with a high enough weirdness factor and visual panache to pull it off.

Failing that, Nintendogs, with Morgan Freeman shoehorned in there somewhere.

You mean the other way round.

Golden Axe is the one I'd like to see and I'd like to be the one in charge of it, Casting, design, script, direction, post.

Thinking of making a trailer of the movie I would make.

A game they should definitely remake now that technology is at its peak and 64bit machines are out. Is the amazingly off the wall Sinclair spectrum game "How to be a complete b**stard". from the mid 80's

Where the sole object of the game is to just irritate people as much as you possibly can. And to get as drunk as you can too. Seems a type of game that would be great in the roam anywhere (ala GTA and Resident Evil) type games you get for the PS2 these days.

I just had a feeling that people wouldn't think its so great if they knew it was 2D. TBH 3D wouldnt work for Flashback and they proved that by making Fade to Black
