Bandits in Milan (Banditi a Milano)

I'd love to see this great crime flick get the DVD treatment.

    Any chance?

    Cheers

I'll second that Martin. It's great film. More than just your average Italian cop movie. The allways excellent Gian Maria Vollonte is, as always excellent (has he made a bad movie?). A remastered DVD would be a godsend, though I very much doubt we'll ever see a UK release, no market in the UK for Italian cop films apparently.

Still, it's a brilliant film... we can only hope.

Never seen it but seeing it's Polizia I would love too. Perhaps Raro will pick this up one day?

Seeing that this was produced by Dino De Laurentiis, what's the probability that it's owned by Paramount?

    Marc, do you know?

Oh well, I thought Bandits in Milan would perhaps have a potentially larger market than the average Italian crime flick with Volontes name above the poster and Lizzani is still knocking about.

Companero, yeah IIRC I think Paramount own the rights. I wonder if they'll get round to releasing it?

If they can't get their act together and release a potentially big title like Lindsay Anderson's If , it would seem very unlikely.

Well, Ace High is supposed to be coming from Paramount in November so perhaps there's some hope?

There's already a US disc of Ace High available here.

It's a sequel to God Forgives... I Don't!. Il quattro dell'Ave Maria (it's original title) was directed by Giuseppe Colizzi and stars Terence Hill (as Cat Stevens) and Bud Spencer. Eli Wallach's in there too. It was followed by Trinity Rides Again.

Compaņero, you do surprise me. Was good to see you earlier, BTW. Beers soon me thinks.

(hangs head in shame). Thanks for enlightening me, Marc.

Nice to catch up and yes, it would be great to meet up for a beer!
