    Needful Things

Is there any chance of the original TV cut (3 hours) getting a decent dvd release?

A quote from someone who's seen it:

"In the first month of 2000. I saw the Director`s Cut of the film adding one hour of additonal footage, it had one character, we saw her in the 120 mins version needful things, but only briefly as Brain Rusk Mother played by Lisa Blount as Cora Rusk. Inculding a different opening, a car chased scene with Ed Harris and Max Von Sydow. For sure they cut a few gory scenes but is worth it waiting for a Widescreen Director`s Cut on DVD"

Does any1 have this on vhs?

No, but i reckon it is worth trying to find an old VHS copy. I believe they either released both versions over here or at least the extended version on VHS and you could probably find one in your local video store still that they may be willig to sell, as i can't see that it makes them too much money anymore in rentals. failing that, BLACKSTAR or some other video-hunt service, although they will be pricing it at around £16+ rather than the £4 or £5 you may be asked for by a video store happy to part with it for you...
I was never happy with too many of the Stephen King TV adaptations but this was one that was pretty good as far as i was concerned!

Thanks for all the info, I guess if Gaunt opened a store in my village, that 3 hour version would be my "needful thing"
