    Hammer Behind The Scenes

Noticed some behind the scenes footage on the set of Dracula Has Risen From The Grave (Chris putting his contacts in, receiving the Queens Award for Industry etc) in the Christopher Lee section of 100 Greatest Movies Stars on C4 tonight.

I still have The Studio That Dripped Blood documentary on tape that was re-broadcast about 20 years ago which was partially filmed (in b&w) on the set of Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed.

Also there's a featurette on Dracula AD 1972 on a Something Weird Hammer trailer tape I have. Anyone know of any more? It would be good to see these surface as special features on DVD.

Would love to have some of this stuff compiled on dvd but I can already imagine some 'rights' fiasco excuse They shouldn't be called rights but 'wrongs' in my eyes

Sure Marc said that the Hammer doc was coming on R1 later this year though

Video would be nice. The US "Dracula Prince of Darkness" has some footage from the making of the film, including Lee filming the conclusion.

If you want to see some cool photographs (plus a mass of information) be sure to pick up "Hammer Films - The Bray Studio Years" by Wayne Kinsey.

'Flesh and Blood' is available on dvd HERE I haven't got a copy yet so I'm not sure what the disc is like, it's only just back in stock with them.
Got a synthetic face, got some scars and a brace, my hands are rough and bloody....

In the US-produced Hammer documentary by Ted Newsom of a few years ago (called, I think, FLESH AND BLOOD) there is some brief behind-the-scenes footage (in colour but seemingly silent) of Christopher Lee on the set of DRACULA A.D. 1972 - putting his fangs in, discussing his pre-credits death scene with Alan Gibson (during which he looks none too impressed!) and generally wandering around. It's only a few seconds but nice to see - perhaps this documentary will make it onto DVD someday.
