    Magazines

I have been a horrorfan the last 15 years, and the only horrormagazine i have been reading is Fangoria. I just wondered if there is any other magazines out there worth reading? Some links would also be nice.

The main horror magazines are Fangoria (www.fangoria.com), Dark Side (www.darksidemagazine.com), Shivers (www.visimag.com/shivers/index.htm) and Rue Morgue (www.rue-morgue.com). DVD World (www.dvdworldmag.com) also carries its fair share of horror related features.

I really dislike Fangoria - but I have been known to pick up Rue Morgue.

I think "Samhain" editor John Gullidge folded it when he begun his travels (I believe he travelled the world around 1999 time). Maybe Marc will be able to confirm though?

I always though 'deep red' and 'in the flesh' were very good

    Fangoria

Yeah, I can blame a lot of my obsession about horror/trash movies on Fango. Started reading it around 87 through to the early 90s, and still have many back issues in a box in the loft of my parents' house (!)

They also used to do compilation issues "The Bloody Best..." - I have one which features Basket Case, Deadly Spawn, Altered States and Stan Winston's work on the Exterminator, which dates it squarely in the early 80s.

I believe the issue with Xtro on the cover is worth a couple of quid too. I know it's still going, will have to check it out, if only for old times sake.

On a similar point, anyone else remember David Flint's great fanzine, Sheer Filth ?
