I'll be watching this sometime this weekend. I was a bit hesitant but you've put my mind at ease somewhat Griz. It doesn't sound half bad from what people have been saying so far.

I've heard that you need to stay and watch the credits all the way through, apparently there's some extra 'bonus beats' at the end of the credits to watch out for?

    NO SPOILERS!!

Yeah keep watching during the end credits.

If you don't know...watch for the cameos and some dialogue taken straight from the original (and it's given to the right people as well).

Hey if anyone was hestiant then it would have been me.

I don't know a bigger fan of DAWN but over the time it has taken to go from a rumour of a remake....to a txt I got today from haydw.... to finally watching it.........I can safely say that this is truely a film that was made by respectful fans of the original and not as a cash in!!

(Also once you have watched it...think about the fact that the film makers are planning to add 5 - 10 mins of extra characterisation and 5 mins of extra GORE to the unrated R1 dvd later this year!!).

Just tell us this - are the FX prosphetics - or is it the dreaded CGI?!

And are the zombies Fulci-esque, or more like From Dusk Til Dawn?!?!

I know for a fact that there's at least two key gore moments that are done via CGI. I'm not saying which they are though. From what I've heard though they play really well...

watched a preview last night and wow its excellent! the fx are [apart from the odd scene] all good old latex.the zombies are very scary and look great plus they move fast which makes it more edge of the seat cos they might just catch you .check this film out it is a worthwhile remake.i am going to go see this again for sure.

Yeah the zombies are nice and 'rubbery'!!

No FDTD style here, good old squibs and latex. Not as moldy as Fulci's, more along the lines of Optic Nerve style of Zom.

But I have to say that now I've had time to calm down (slightly) and had time to dream about battleing zombie infestation...I must say that the new Dawn....STILL FOOKIN ROCKS!!!

And you care about the characters as well.

Can't get too see it agin until next Friday now but Sheet am I xcited!

Brilliant film and ultra cool zombie Pic.
What can I say it made me actually trump.

Now I don't trump in public and this made me trump.
No greater praise could I heap up on this .

I also think the use of CGI was appropriate and not gratuatous(though thanfully the gore was)

A film that makes you fart? That's settled then, I won't go the cinema to see it. Well, I don't particularly want to be in a room full of people farting while I'm trying to watch a film!
