USA: Halloween II comes to Blu Ray from Shout Factory

After Universal's release, Shout Factory will release Halloween II in the much sought after Television Cut, with orginal artwork & newly comissioned artwork. It is due for release on the 18 of September 2012.

Picking up exactly where the first film left off, Halloween II follows the same ill-fated characters as they once again encounter the knife-wielding maniac they thought they had left for dead. It seems the inhuman Michael Myers is still very much alive and out for more revenge as he stalks the deserted halls of the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. As he gets closer to his main target, Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) discovers the chilling mystery behind the crazed psychopath’s actions. Written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, Halloween II is a spine-tingling dark ride into the scariest night of the year.

    Bonus Features:

    • The Theatrical Version and the Television Cut with added footage not seen in the theatrical version
    • Audio commentary with director Rick Rosenthal
    • Audio commentary with stunt co-ordinator/actor Dick Warlock
    • The Nightmare Isn’t Over – The Making Of Halloween II, featuring Rick Rosenthal, Lance Guest, Dick Warlock, Alan Howarth, Dean Cundey and more..
    • Horror’s Hallowed Grounds: Revisiting the original shooting locations
    • Still Gallery
    • Theatrical Trailer, TV and Radio Spots
    • More details and developments coming soon!

Re: Halloween II comes to Blu Ray from Shout Factory

From past experience Shout's blu's have been region locked but that has been because of the Distributor insiting on it, as Univeral's Region A Blu's are all region free, is a puzzler, my biggest question is if the TV cut will be in 2.35:1 or not, as the TV scenes on last years Blu were all full frame but the old Anchor Bay TV version had scenes in widescreen, am annoyed to be double dipping in such a relatively short space of time, but the TV version is the clincher for me
