Roger Corman's Cult Classics Collection-Shout Factory US

Thought i would start a new thread, Any other fans of this line out there??? It would seem that there are 10 more titles to be released & that will be it no more, which is pretty sad as all of the releases apart from one or two stinkers have been pretty consistant on the whole, in terms of quality/obscurity & watchability, Anyone got any films that they have discovered orhave been particularly impressed with????

Re: Roger Corman's Cult Classics Collection-Shout Factory US

I've loved this line - real collectors' items that will be watched and re-watched for many years to come... currently have seven of these releases and plan on getting more soon. The ones I have are:

    STAR CRASH
    HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP
    FORBIDDEN WORLD
    THE SWORD & SORCERY COLLECTION
    STREETWALKIN'
    GALAXY OF TERROR
    DEATHSPORT / BATTLETRUCK

But I couldn't understand why HOLLYWOOD BLVD wasn't part of the cult classics collection, as that seems to be a key title in the Corman catalogue (much more so than the likes of GEORGIA PEACHES or TWICE DEAD). Would also have liked to have seen the following get the SHOUT FACTORY treatment:

    SAINT JACK
    DARKTOWN STRUTTERS
    BRAIN DEAD
    SPACE RAIDERS
    HUNTER'S BLOOD
    THE NEST
    LOVE LETTERS
    SUMMER CAMP NIGHTMARE
    TAG: THE ASSASSINATION GAME
    SORCERESS

...and although CHOPPING MALL is owned by Lionsgate and ANDROID is no longer owned by Corman himself, it would have been great to see both of those done right by SHOUT FACTORY.

Looking forward to their new SCREAM FACTORY line, though - releasing the likes of HALLOWEEN 3, THE ISLAND and DEATH VALLEY later this year!

I remember Sorceress was a definate no when asked about if i remember correctly from Cliff Mac's many post's, the Nest is tied up at MGM along with some other of the New Concorde films, i just wonder what the final 10 will actually be, i own every title apart from Streets/Angel in Red & the forthcoming Black Oak Conspiracy which are annoyingly Shout Select lines only Highlights for me have been

Piranha (That lenticualr cover is amazing nice to see it get the SE treatment it so rightfully deserved)
    Caged Heat
    Women In Cages Collection
Monster/Humanoids From The Deep (Again great SE treatment & the story behind the film is downright hilarious)
Slumber Party Massacre Collection (Again real value for money having only seen the first in a heavily truncated form & the banning over here of the 2nd & the ridiculous prices those originnal New Horizins/concorde disc's were going for)
Galaxy of Terror (nice to finally have)
    The Evil

The only real letdowns were Smokey Bite's the Dust (Dreadful transfer)
    Battletruck/Deathsport
    Warrior & the scorceress

Isa shame it is coming to an end but i have to say it is one of the most entertaining line's i have come across & opened my mind more to different types of exploitation films & how on a shoe string some of them are shot, glad there are other fans of this line about, i too am looking forward to the Scream Factory line but am disappointed in Halloween II being released on blu again so soon
