On August 12 2012 Olive Films are set to issue newly mastered DVD and Blu-ray special editions of James L. Conway's sought after gem The Boogens (1981), made possibly by Olive Films agreeing a deal with Paramount for an ongoing output deal of back catalogue titles.
A small construction team of four men work to reopen an abandoned silver mine 100 years after a mysterious massacre forced the Army to shut it down. What they don't know is that their excavating has inadvertently freed some amphibious reptilian creatures lurking deep within the mine shafts.
Specifications are TBC, but so far I have heard it will include:
- 1.85:1 widescreen, enhanced for 16x9 TVs
- Audio Commentary by director James L. Conway, star Rebecca Balding and screenwriter David O’Malley
- Slip case
