    Wild Beasts

Wild Beasts - Belve Feroci, Franco Prosperi's animals-on-the-rampage shocker, is out now on DVD from those good German folks at "Camera Obscura".

It's uncensored, good quality, and features German, Italian and English soundtracks with optional German or English subtitles. Nice extras too.

In this spaghetti splatter epic, zoo animals on an angel dust trip rampage through Frankfurt, killing a bunch of helpless people in doing so. There are rats, lions, tigers, elefants, even an polar bear makes an unforgettable appearance. With no CGI available at the time of filming, they used real animals. The big beasties are treated with respect, but some of the smaller ones obviously didn't survive the movie. Anyway, if you like your Italian stuff juicy and red and schlocky, you can do worse than picking up Wild Beasts. I liked it.

It's a Scandinavian release.I have the same dvd.The BBFC would cut out the burning rats for sure if submitted here but otherwise it would be pretty much intact.Fortunately the Hyena attacking pig sequence is brief though still unpleasant.
