Watched the last one with Diddy Hamilton....christ on a skewer, David Parton (check the episode, am not soiling this site with its shocking shiteness)...Pussycat were on again with a song that echoed back to Mississippi (flogging a dead horse...), Barry Biggs had me checking the contrast on my tv (in contrast to his semi lovers rock which wasnt up to much)...Staus Quank were on, seemingly in the same performance from the 76 shows but twas a different song etc.....if it aint Down Down i dont give a rat's ass though....David Soul was number one, insip shit and proof that he couldnt sing as he seemed to be either stretching for the high notes or he was constipated....the "playout" track was Stevie Wonder! talk about throwaway! thank gawd for painkillers....
GARY FUCKING GLITTER. thats all im saying, check the episode, should still be up. rest of it was marginal Donna Summer sleepsinging her way through some tawdry ballad, Soul still number 1 blah blah. and Noel Edmonds is obviously Justin Lee Cuntache's fashion template....
well nae GG this week, but plenty of shite nonetheless. the New Seekers high on this list, with their awful cuntry pop. David Parton looking really pleased with himself, gawd knows why a green checked shirt and a white suit? sheeesh. Legs & Co just walked round the set during their bit! easy money or what?
thank fuck for 6music's grrrrreat Kraftwerk weekender, 10 times i heard Autobahn, still nae sick of it!!
The New Seekers are prime culprits for a tour around Hell. I bet Satan is rubbing his hands together...

What's Glitter doing? A Little Boogie Woogie or something?

'It Takes All Night Long' got to number 25, I think. Poor song but THE LEADER has a good outfit and some top drawer moves to boot.
Enjoy it cos he doesn't make another Top 40 appearance until July/Aug 1977 with 'A Little Boogie Woogie In The Back Of My Van', sorry, 'Mind'. The nothing until Oct 1981 when 'Then She Kissed Me' crept in at No.39.
Dunno if either of these warranted a TOTP appearance.
Gary Glitter ALWAYS warranted an appearance on TOTP (and that was my 5000th post!)

No, I haven't. Dare I ask if it's any good?

Not sure if forum rules allow me to post links, so google 'Gary Glitter - Rock n Roll Circus' for a fab 1981 documentary on his attempt to create a, er, Rock n Roll Circus. Amazing stuff.
Gary Glitter must regret that single. Simply the worst thing he ever did. It was not hard to see how his career lost momentum after that.
indeed. of all the songs that are on my 2cd greatest hits (bought from The-shop-with-the-dog) its is shitter than any of the substandard ones.
Can you actually still buy GG stuff?

Gary Glitter CDs
and the film is quite awful in its greatness. he's nae actor cough cough.
Well, they snipped his appearance in Spiceworld, so this is his only film. I like the following quote from IMDB:
Sounds like required viewing!REMEMBER ME THIS WAY is probably the worst movie ever to have come out of this country and is too long by at least 56 minutes

on you go then.....ever seen a charmless little beaut called Never Too Young To Rock ?? Freddie Jones and Peter Denyer travel the countryside in a van "detecting" pop music? its a marathon to get to the "concert" at the end, tis worth it for err, sociological reasons harumph. from '76!
Definitely haven't heard of that one!
