Dark Story of a Japanaese Rapist

With French company blaqout releasing three Koji Wakamatsu box sets (12 movies), I'm hoping they'll consider releasing DARK STORY OF A JAPANESE RAPIST in a future volume.

Is there much love for the film here? If anybody's seen it, I can't imagine there not being some love for it. It's quite a piece of work!

I have an old Japanese VHS release of this one, along with quite a few other Wakamatsu movies.

    And welcome to the forum!

    Thanks, Marc.

I probably have the same VHS release. Mine isn't subtitled.

Still, I like the movie a lot.

It is heartening to see legit releases of his stuff like THE MAN WHO ASSAULTED 13 PEOPLE, though.

Unfortunately, so much good Japanese material -- like Yojiro Takita's RENZUKO BOKO, for example -- is still only available on VHS.

And where's DEMON POND (the original) on DVD, or ZOOM UP -- RAPE SITE?

    Where was this one released?

I'm still waiting for a decent release of VIOLATED ANGELS.

THE MAN WHO ASSAULTED 13 PEOPLE has been released on DVD in Japan.

And you'll be happy to know that an exquisite DVD version of VIOLATED ANGELS is part of Koji Wakamatsu Volume I from blaqout; unfortunately, not subbed; the subsequent volumes are.

I wrote a small piece here:
