    Car chase exploitation

I just watched Grindhouse and was just blown away with Death Proof's finale. I now want to see some more old 70s exploitiation films with great car chases. I have seen Death Race 2000 and Ride with the Devil.

Can anyone recommend some grindhouse type car chase films?

Violent City with Bronson has a great car chase. Not exploitation but the end of the original Blues Brothers is fucking great, and as much as I hate Spielberg Duel is pretty great too (18 wheeler chases car, for the whole fucking movie).

The Car, 1977. James Brolin and Kim Richards.
Faceless demon in modified and awesome looking Lincoln!! Distinctive horn.

Blazing Magnum aka: Shadows In An Empty Room. Dir: Alberto De Martino. Stuart Whitman and John Saxon among others.
Cracking euro-crime film with an exceptionally well done car chase that lasts about 7 minutes (i think? correct me please). A fucking great punch up with a bunch of trannies too!! Highly recommended but no DVD release around, maybe an old German release but can't confirm that. Maybe a fan-edit exixts?

The Road Warrior, aka: Mad Max 2. Need i say more?

Theres tonnes and tonnes more mate. Just google 'em. Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry. The Cannonball Run I+II. Smokey And The Bandit trilogy. The Gumball Rally. The Burglars. Hooper. Cannonball, etc..etc..good luck

If you like it cheap and funny, take a look at "The Junkman" aka "Firebird Tornado" and Antonio Margheritis "Car Crash" with Joey Travolta. Loved them as a kid, but haven't seen them since.

Smokey and the Bandit is a great guilty pleasure but Cannonball run I just couldn't really enjoy, trying too hard to be a film version of "Wacky Racers" it seemed.

The Seven Ups (1973) with Roy Scheider, Joe Spinell and Richard Lynch - classic car chase.

Has anyone seen Vigilante from William Lustig? It has one of the best car chase scenes ive seen, in my opinion anyway
