Back To The Future Trilogy on Blu-ray

As a huge Back to The Future fan it's my pleasure to post this. Even though they're all great, I have a tendency to watch the second movie over and over. Maybe because I'm a Sci-Fi freak and love the idea of time travel

So I was roaming the internet and saw this offer for the Trilogy on Blu-ray, definitely like the price: amazon.co.uk

So, which of the 3 films is your favourite? I don't know why, but I think the second was the most entertaining and funniest.

Bargain, bought and watched. Looks and sounds amazing. Surprised no one has any interest in this as it's an excellent set.

Love the 1st one the most as it was the 1st Blockbuster I can ever remember seeing at the cinema.

Part 2 is really funny and I can watch it anytime without having to watch the lot.

I think the first is the best too. Like Myersfan, I saw it at the cinema. I was ten at the time and it really was an exciting film to see. Even at such an early age it was easy to identify that the film was fresh, exciting and unlike anything else I’d seen up to that point.

I rate the second and third films equally high too, but managed to miss PART II at the cinema. I remember it was released on video a week or two before the third one hit the multiplexes, so I was able to see them in quick succession.

The BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy is certainly one of the best examples of a series that works as a satisfying whole – I really can’t fault it. The first flick works well as a stand-alone film too.

So far I’ve resisted buying the Blu-ray set, having bought the set twice on DVD (I currently own the steelbook version of the second release). I also bought them twice on VHS (once individually, and again in a widescreen box set). No doubt I’ll get the BD set at some point, but I’m in no rush.

Comp - you might want to pick it up now, as one or two retailers are currently offering it for about £18.

So just how much of the Stoltz footage did they include? Was it all shown in the teaser video they released a while back?

I've got the trilogy on humble DVD and I have no intention of getting the BD version. One of the best trilogies ever made, though.

It was indeed ALL seen on the clip of one of the new featurettes included - it's a bit of a con that this was used to sell the Blu set, as it's grossly misleading.

Several weeks of filming took place before Stoltz was replaced, and it's a pretty safe bet that all of it is in the vaults of Universal. Stoltz himself recently said that he was fairly cool about his footage being seen, but Universal edvidently didn't bother to ask his permission to use footage with him speaking in it (they can get around using footage if his voice isn't heard).

Would have been nice to get a decent look at the Marty McFly that could have been...

I remember spotting the Twin/Lone Pine Mall thing during one time I watched the film. There're a few other things as well, but I can't remember what they are at the moment.
