ok, slightly better, the Saturday slot 8pm - 11pm (bbc7 again) is titled "Goodby Spike" and features some nice tribute shows, and original broadcasts). i know this should go on the tv thread but WOLVES, WITCHES AND GIANTS is currently being reshown on one of the kids channels at moment

    Re: Radio Alert

sorry ive been a bit amiss recently, there was a paucity of interesting stuff, and the rebranding of BBC7 has meant weve lost a few things, but there should still be a programme about Library Music (with Johnny Trunk) on Listen Again, and i think its repeated sun R4 anyhow..

If anyone is at a loose end and has a half hour to spare, I enjoyed the Radio 4 documentary on Saturday morning about Francoise Hardy. It included a fairly extensive interview with her. She sounded just lovely. ;-)

    Re: Radio Alert

Turned on Radio 4 this morning before going to work. Was eating me Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and minding my own business. After an interview with Alex Salmond and other bits and pieces, on comes an exclusive interview with Bob Dylan from 1966. In it, he admits to heroin addiction (which has been rumoured for some time) and is pretty nihilistic about death and suicidal tendencies. It's pretty remarkable to hear all this come out of his mouth - he sounds like he could be speeding pretty heavily. Anyway, if you want to hear it, follow the link below and fast forward to 2 hrs 23mins. Njoi!

    Re: Radio Alert

have to mention this, was on last friday bbc6music midnight-01.00 GMT, should still be on the listen again feature....The Freakier Zone...S Maconie's trawl through the odder end of music. this week he had a feature on horror Soundtracks...now i wouldnt class Cul de Sac as a horror film, more of a psychothriller, but some interestin pieces played, worth a listen if only for the guest presenters "knowledge" ahem.
