I asked Synapse whether it would be region free or not. Here's their reply;

Don't know yet. Region codes are a contractual obligation and I haven't
checked to see what we are required to do. I we can leave it region free,
we will.

According to this web listing this is going to be a region encoded DVD and Blu Ray. Shame.

That's true, drac - although I already own the Carlton disc and would love to have this on Blu-ray. Maybe a UK company could release it?

Just had a email from Synapse.

Region Locked Blu Ray (as we knew).

Both the Blu Ray and DVD will have the listed special Features!

Will do until I get a Multi Blu Ray.

Looks like Vampire Circus is getting a UK DVD release in March 2011
