DUFFER (1971, Joseph Despins, William Dumaresq)

Totally surprised this has been picked up by the BFI for DVD (and BD?) release! Passed uncut 15. Always wanted to see it since reading about it in the EYEBALL compendium....

    BBFC: DUFFER

Was shown at the start of May (at Cinephilia) but I missed it. What with BRONCO BULLFROG, THE MOON OVER THE ALLEY and HERE WE GO ROUND THE MULBERRY BUSH being released, these are still exciting times for DVD/BD!!

Any updates on this? Gone a bit quiet on the DUFFER front...

    It's great.

Very odd film. No sync sound at all, all dialogue as kind of internal monologues. Some really interesting sound design (apparently by Delia Derbyshire of Radiophonic Workshop fame) and music.

Definitely not everyone's cup of tea. But a pretty fascinating film nonetheless. Definitely worth checking
