When the Ladykillers remake was first mooted and then released it was met with a lot of hostility. Five years down the line, it is actually a very funny film with lots of Coen touches to it.

This film was better than the original imo. Probably the main improvement was Bridges as Rooster Cogburn. The Duke was an unconvincing actor in that role. The location looks authentic, rather than the Rocky Mountains that were misplaced in the original.
