    Filmrage magazine

Just wondered if anybody here had taken the plunge and ordered any issues of Filmrage - The World's most exclusive film journal?

    Filmrage

    note: It's not cheap.

Wow, that looks tempting.. You're right, it's not cheap. A quick search on google shows 1 British pound = 1.5975 U.S. dollars.... and at £200.00 for the first 4.... $320!!! I'll have to pass for now.

    Re: Filmrage magazine

Why would anyone pay that amount of money for a fanzine, however nicely produced it may be? All we know, sight unseen, is that it has "100's or reviews". Well, we also know it's edited by someone illiterate enough to put an apostrophe in "100s" (and indeed to use "100s" instead of "hundreds"). And careless enough to not notice they've mistyped "or" for "of".

So, an unbelievably expensive fanzine with no content samples edited by a complete amateur. Why certainly, here's my £200.

I like the way that it's not only illiterate (as you point out), but it really gives no indication as to what it offers.

Also, the films they're purporting to cover are not really that obscure either ... what can they possibly add that anyone NEEDS to know?

Horrible, opportunist exploitation of a niche market. I hope no-one's daft enough to indulge them.

£55 per issue!!!! I like to try the odd issue of horror mags, but you'll never get me buying this title.
