Have just picked up 'Teenage Wasteland' by J A Kerswell, easy read guide to slasher movies with some great poster art work from around the world and every page is in colour and at only £8 from Amazon a real bargain. Recommended.

AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS by HP Lovecraft. tis more drawn out that i remember, though still has all the HPL "hooks" i love...the proposed film will polarise severely due to design of the creatures...
Russel Banks' 'Affliction', which isn't really a horror book, except that it is the type of horror many of us endure in our own mundane lives. Familial horror and the terrors of a lifetime of thankless, uncredited labor. It was made into an excellent film which starred Nick Nolte, James Coburn and Sissy Spacek. I think Coburn earned an oscar with his performance of the violent, alcoholic patriarch.
now im reading Dreams in the Witch-house...a decent celluloid version of this would be a winner, even though slight elements were appropriated for Paranormal Activity...please dont mention the masters of horror one thank you...

Shaun Hutson's Victims. Shaun Hutson's my favourite author and I've read almost all of his earlier horror books, although I've never read any of his more recent thriller books.
Shaun Hutson? Seriously?! This guy can't write for toffee! I read loads of his books back in the day, the last being Heathen in the early 90's. I just found his stuff laughable in the end. I went over to reading H P Lovecraft and this led me to Brian Lumley, who is amazing and can write proper books!
Watch the magic pumpkin!
easy tiger haha. White Ghost was the last hutson i read. pass. reading Roger Corman's HOW I MADE A HUNDRED MOVIES IN HOLLYWOOD AND NEVER LOST A DIME, entertaining reading...well any book that made me rewatch Creature from the Haunted Sea is a go-er for me...
I could never be bothered with the guy. I understand that Slugs: The Movie is supposed to be a travesty of its source material. The mind boggles. Hutson said that, as long as he got the cash, they could turn it into a fucking comedy as far as he was concerned, which shows where his head is at.
Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - Finally got round to this one and was surprised hoiw little of Lisbeth and her subplots were in the book. Still a good read.
Nightmare Movies - This book is so fucking annoying, its like flicking through the index's found in Videohound film guide. Very lazy writing. Unless it bucks up in the last 40 pages all I can say its not worth the effort. The library wasted £30 and a royalty payment to Kim Newman IN THIS TIME OF AUSTERITY.
Last three Ive read;
The Borley Rectory Companion
Prescription for murder (Harold Shipman bio)
The annotated Alice
