My fear is, and I hope that I'm wrong in this regard, that the global economic downturn, the ever increasing problem of piracy and the huge choice of existing titles in the marketplace have all contributed to many potential releases being shelved maybe for good. Like I say, I hope that I'm wrong; but the signs from the market in general don't seem to be too good.

I'd say you're probably right but only in that the smaller companies that release this type of product will probably be a lot more cautious when licensing titles. I would imagine that if the companies are going strong there would be little doubt that they'd release the titles they'd already licenced.

I agree Companero. I don't think there is much doubt that if sales of the niche labels titles were stronger we would be seeing far more films released, including those seen as riskier propositions.

It is a real shame, and there is no doubt about that. For me personally I think one of the biggest losses in the genre marketplace was BCI who were not only releasing the Naschy and Spanish horror titles in fantastic quality editions, but also many great Sonny Chiba films.

I think we can take it this release well and truly bit the dust,be interesting to know why though, maybe because they re-titled the remake the cash in aspect wasn't as great and the deal fell through-pure speculation.Shame though, always liked this film, would of been great to see it get a decent realease finally.Maybe Odeon over here will release it some day, seems the type of film they'd likely put out.

What is the problem with Exposé? Is the film jinxed or something? I seem to remember that Barrel were going to release it and it never happened. Now the same has happened to the Severin release.

I have got the Odyssey release of this which is horrendously cut well 2 sequences are, it is a shame someone else hasnt put this out as surely it would pass now with no cuts at all, but from what i heard the Print has suffered some water damage i am sure on another thread which is why it hasnt surfaced, why don't Nucleus put this one out????
