There's not much to write home about in Amazon's 3 for 2 Blu Ray sales, but I did locate Goodfellas, 2001 and Blade Runner: Final Cut in there for £9.98 each, meaning I picked up all three for under £20 after discount which isn't a bad deal for those wanting to upgrade some classic catalogue titles to hi def (£6-odd each).
Also picked up Poltergeist BD for £10.47 which although far from bargaintastic is reasonable enough, and I can finally consign the non anamorphic R1 snapper case to DVD hell.

Anybody after the Thunderbirds Blu Ray set, keep watching it as its been fluctuating in price over Christmas. Its been as high as £90 and as low as £64, although read about the framing issues before committing your cash.

Just looked at the framing The DVD Forums:
Thunderbirds on Blu-ray in September
What were they thinking?
I mean okay they could have got away with a little cropping, and that combined with the little extra they got on the sides they would have got away with maybe 1.5:1(with the extra footage on the side it makes it 1.4:1, but accounting for overscan on old TVs you could crop off the top and the bottom to make it 1.5:1 with no ill effect) but going for the full 1.78:1, stupid, I hope this isn't the future of old TV to HD, they didn't do that to Star Trek.
Life, Don't talk to me about Life.

Actually, all the Postgate stuff- BAGPUSS, CLANGERS etc- alongside other kids' classics of te time such as MR BENN, CHIGLEY, CAMBERWICK GREEN etc- were on sale in Asda for £2 each a couple of months ago, but they seem to have mysteriously disppeared now. I wonder if, in the aftermath of Postgate's death, the prices will start rising again?
Browsing Amazon recently, I discovered they were the only people selling the Georges Melies: First Wizard Of Cinema R1 box set, for the somewhat exaggerated price of £50!! And that's actually the cheapest I've found.
Anyone know of a slightly more reasonably priced seller out there?
This is all most likely due to Entertainment UK's collapse. Once the DVD releasing companies secure a new distribution deal, the discs will be return to stores.Actually, all the Postgate stuff- BAGPUSS, CLANGERS etc- alongside other kids' classics of te time such as MR BENN, CHIGLEY, CAMBERWICK GREEN etc- were on sale in Asda for £2 each a couple of months ago, but they seem to have mysteriously disppeared now. I'd suggest amazon UK:
Bagbpuss | The Clangers | Ivor the Engine | Mr. Benn | Chigley | Camberwick Green
BTW, Oliver Postgate's (RIP) personal website makes for some interesting reading:

Series 1 of The Sopranos down to a splendid £9.98 at Amazon until April 26th - if you've never dipped into this, now's the time, although I found the need to pick up the other seasons soon afterwards more than overwhelming!
The Sopranos: Complete HBO Season 1: amazon.co.uk
Personally I'd recommend the box set.
