Just bought a new laptop and, unlike my old model, it has a DVD writer and enough memory to store movies. I'm not going to be downloading loads of movies (prefer original DVDs) but I've just downloaded Cinema Sewer's Retard-O-Tron mixtape and really want to transfer this to DVD for playing on TV.

Over the weekend, I've been looking for software that will convert all computer video files to standard DVD. The freeware I've tried won't work; the trial software annoying puts a great big watermark in the middle of the screen; and to purchase the software is quite pricey (for a tightwad like me). If I was going to be downloading loads of stuff it'd be worth it but my usage is gonna be pretty minimal.

Can anyone recommend a cheap but effective software for this purpose?
