Even when I thought the Alpha France version was the director's cut, I couldn't help but wonder why the editing during the first rape scene was so rubbish.

I thought: is it down to this being a no-budget quickie? Is it because the actors were being asked to perform pretty weird acts, thus necessitating frequent cuts to allow them to compose themselves?

Or was it cut to fuck?

We'll find out soon. Marvellous. I'm a massive fan of this film, even if it does end up being that the first rape has nothing more to it and was just badly edited. I love it as it is (that woman seems truly bothered by Gillis and his enema pump, by the way), so none of this is a complaint.

One question: Are Pink Flamingos confirmed as releasing Waterpower on blu-ray? It doesn't really matter, I'll be buy it on DVD if not, but - if so ... wow.

I've just tried to get onto the Pink Flamingos website, to have a nose about and i cant! What happens is when i accessed it through AWE you get the 'Are you 18?' malarky then a black screen with a very brief video playing then cut to black and nothing.....Oh theres a 'go to website' button at the bottom of the screen and it takes you back to the are you 18? disclaimer!
As far as i know my laptop is fine but....
    Anyone help?

....and i though Forced Entry was vile haha. Just tried the pink flamingoes link, and though it mentions the other works of Mr Costello, no sign of this "classick", shame, i think it's what Blu Ray was invented for!!

As do I, this is a film where the devil is in the detail, you could say. One to get upclose and personal with on Blu-ray, for sure. I finally caught up with it last week and loved it.

Now if the Hobbit had been in a remake of this instead of a certain B Lustig film......cough cough, anyone for gravy then??
