    Man About the House (1973)

OK, we've had On the Buses, so how about a Man About the House / Robin's Nest (I won't count George and Mildred) thread.

Anyone (like me) watched these on TV as a nipper?

Sally Thomsett? Must have been strange seeing herein Man About the House after pooping up a few years prior as the slutty Janice Hedden in Straw Dogs! I fancied her something rotten as a kid.

And poor old Richard O'Sullivan suffered a stroke and now lives in Brinsworth House, a retirement home for actors etc.

I have the first series of Man About the House on DVD, it's great. Robin's Nest I've not seen for a long time.

Strangely I have three seasons of the US version - entitled: "Three's Company". It's not as good, but fun enough.

Aaah the delightful Sally Thomsett and Paula Wilcox! I have the Man About The House boxset - great stuff which was ever so slightly risque back in the day.

I especially like any episodes where Roy Kinnear made an appearance as Mr Roper's cowboy builder friend Jerry - not Mrs Ropers favourite person!

I bought the first series of Robins Nest but will now probably wait for Network to release the box set and buy that.

And soap lovers will no doubt verify that Paula Wilcox has turned up in Emmerdale recently!

Here's Richard O'Sullivan (complete with cigarette) taken a few years ago. Former Carry On star Larry Dann is standing beside him.

The idea of a bloke sharing a flat with two ladies certainly fired my imagination as a kid.

Have to say I preferred Paula Wilcox back in the 70s, but would probably go for Sally Thomsett now. Loved the theme tune. Haven't seen any of these for years and years and am not sure how they stand up today...
