WHORE.

Nic Roeg and Ken Russell - both directors have faced censorship and endured shoddy home-video presentations of most of their movies. It's ironic that both of these British artists have worked together and now both share the same pathetic level of respect from DVD companies.

I wonder, does anyone know if Russell's trashy - but hugely entertaining - film called WHORE (starring Roeg's sexy vixen of a wife, Theresa Russell) has ever been issued UNCUT on DVD in any part of the world?

I wasn't aware of it ever being cut, although it was trimmed for an R rating for its US theatrical release.

I've been so damn busy these past few months. Haven't had much time to see much at the cinema or even read a book or two. Right now I'm in the States but I'll be back in September (got no choice, the new term starts, not really keen on the new batch of students!).

I'll hopefully start posting on a more regular basis here when I get some free time. I really miss chatting about films and stuff.

Getting back to WHORE, yeah Marc's right about the British version being uncut. It was the MPAA in the USA who trimmed this Ken Russell flick. At the time of writing I'm not aware of an English DVD. The only one I found was on Amazon Germany. But the question is this: is this German release uncut?
