Lorna... the Exorcist. wow. Of all the Francos I've watched recently, this is the pick of the bunch. Sadly the Mondo Macabro dvd isn't the XXX version, so there is that. BUT, a more derangedly sleazy film I haven't seen (and I watched Eugenie De Sade the same weekend) in a crabs age. cough.

Looper. Hmmmm, I prefer it when I don't guess the ending of a film 40 minutes into it.

Maniac. The newie with the hobbit etc. Liked. Reminded me of Drive and Snowtown in places, some cheeky references to the original and the POV style didn't grate. Old school in tone...women = meat etc. Definitely the best rewhatever I've seen this century.

I gather from your coughing the changes arent so subtle!

In Space Seed I did notice the spaceship for Khan's people was now a cgi model
but I liked what they did to Arena and Devil in the Dark.

Coriolanus interesting, pretty solid adaptation but felt like it didn't quite turn on the power implicit within Shakespeare's writing and so in moments where it thrreatened to take-off and thrill instead read or viewed a bit flat for me?

Social Network felt difficult to associate with these characters, but only caught it halfway through so unfair to judge perhaps, may watch it again and maybe there's something clever going on and a reason a film about Facebook works, beyond clever college kids getting rich. I sort of get the fact that there's deceit and infighting going on set against the future money stakes and what we all know happened in the end, but does it work, anybody got any views on this film? Would be interested to hear others reactions.

Wall Street (Money Never Sleeps). Liked the original, have watched it many times, again, one that I abandoned before more of a third of the way into it, getting the feeling it's no match for the original, but will have to get back and watch it straight through. Always been interested in anything Stone does as he's often controversial and that's no bad thing when so many films nowadays are sappy pappy crap made to just turn a buck by way of the easiest and most cynical route possible.

Corridors of Blood Boris Karloff learns the dangers of inhaling fumes. Interesting. Could be a double feature with Flesh and the Fiends.
