Yes they show both uncut too in terms of their horse & snake cruelty.

Mercedes McCambridge looked well sloshed in 99 WOMEN. Either that or she was trying out some new alienation/Brechtian acting technique...

JOHN WATERS: THIS FILTHY WORLD on Sky Arts at 10.30. Don't think it's been on before so I thought I'd bring it to your attention.

Don't miss This Filthy World, it's hilarious. I saw Waters introduce it at the NFT last year.

I noticed that Chaos - the recent rip-off of The Last House on the Left - was showing on Zone Horror last night. Does anyone know whether this was uncut? - apparently it's quite extreme.

Was this definitely the David DeFalco version of CHAOS? As there are several recent films by that name.

I saw it listed and recorded it a few days ago, not checked it out yet. It was however described as "controversial and marketed as the most brutal movie ever" in the blurb on Sky Plus. I'll check it out in a min and see who the director is.

edit - it is the Defalco version and I noticed Sage Stallone is in it.

    Thanks.

    Wow, that's amazing.

Uncut the film is very extreme. There's no way it's going to get passed the BBFC.

It will be interesting to know if it went out uncut.

Curse Of The Crimson Altar shows on BBC2 next Friday. Handy for those, like me, who never got round to buying the DD disc and only have the US version with the replacement score.

okay so it's a bit late but tonight BBC4 showed several editions of arts show Monitor (incl Welles, Hitchcock and a film by Ken Russell) and have started to show the brilliant Ways of Seeing (3 eps left) ... might be worth keeping an eye on for the next few days.

It didn't. But it's still pretty horrible.

Do you know exactly what they cut?

It's the sexualised murders of Angelica & Emily that are very strong and are likely to be cut by the BBFC. Presumably the cuts were to these 2 scenes.

Robert Altman's IMAGES is on Film 24 at 10.20 tonight. One of the few of Altman's films that actually interests me, as I recall from seeing it on BBC2 about 25 years ago it's reminiscent of REPULSION.

Ha ha, just reminded me of a quote from Deep Red magazine, opining that with this film Lommel made Ed Wood look like Eisenstein by comparison.

    Re: TV Alert

I tuned in for the start of The Boogeyman 2 to see if it was really the Lommel travesty as described by the TV Guide, but it naturally wasn't that version - just some other piece of sh!t that I dared not waste more than 10s on. And that was probably a generous amount of my time for it.

To be honest I can't see any mainstream channel scheduling an Uli Lommel film in a 10pm slot.

    More fool them I say...

    Re: TV Alert

It would appear that the Pulse channel are showing the 1971 horror LEGACY OF BLOOD (not the Andy Milligan film) at 12 p.m. tomorrow. A rather gruesome film for that time of day I'd have thought.
