Douglas Hickox's 'Sitting Target' starring Ollie Reed and Ian McShane is on TCM Sat 29th June at 11.15pm
TCM link
Not had a DVD release as far as I can tell.
That is one ace movie - and one nobody should miss!
Just seen an ad for Shane Meadows excellent This Is England - getting its TV premiere this coming Monday at 9pm on Film 4. Well worth a watch if you're yet to see it.
Three decent films on TV tonight.
Greetings (BBC2) - Brian de Palma's early film starring Robert de Niro.
Whatever Happened to Harold Smith? (ITV1) - quirky british comedy set in the 70s.
Afro Samurai (Bravo) - feature length anime voiced by Samuel Jackson.
They've been on before but BBC are showing:
Blood Beast Terror (BBC1 Tuesday)
Devils of Darkness (BBC2 Friday)
Both of these are on after midnight, so are technically Wednesday and Saturday morning...
Caught the end of an advert for upcoming film seasons on BBC4 last night - including ( if I'm not mistaken ) 70's biker Zombie flick Psychomania!
Anyone stuck for something to watch tonight - I've just noticed Channel 5 are showing the James Woods movie, Cop, at 11.05. Provided its not the TV version ITV showed in the 90s, where they edited out every swear word (thus ruining the ending) it well worth a look.
I always thought that ending to james woods cop felt like it was completely out of place with the rest of the film.very entertaining though.![]()
Strange But True? A very scary 90s TV series showing reconstructions of paranormal activity starts on The Paranormal Channel tonight.
SOMEONE RECORD IT PLEASE!![]()
Yes Devils Of Darkness was uncut too unlike the r1 dvd, with the extended snake dancer sequence.I thought I recognised the dancer & sure enough she later played Fatima in "The Snake" episode of On The Buses (Series 3 I think)Julie Mendez (she has a few credits for choreography too on films as well as dancing in the opening credits of From Russia With Love !):-

At last - something worth recording!
BBC4: BBC4's British B Movies weekend
Cinedelica: BBC4's British B Movies weekend
Cult Movie Forums: Truly, Madly, Cheaply: British "B" Movies (BBC4)
Two quick points:
Marc - that British B-Movies Weekend is highly recommended for Trash fans. I saw the trailer for the accompanying documentary and it looks like the kind of stuff which Nucleus would do.
Compo - I too would go crazy if Sitting Target ever got a DVD release! I only ever saw it once on late night telly back in the 80's.
Lady in White (1988), starring Lukas Haas, is being screened on Channel 4 tomorrow night, 12.10 am till 2.10 am. Already available on Region 1 it's getting a Region 2 release in August.
The old, okayish Crown International chiller THE HEARSE will be playing on BBC2 tonight... not sure what time, I'm afraid...
I'll have to look up what films are to be shown - but I've been finding some truly obscure and weird and wonderful material on movies4men. Well worth checking their listings daily.

reality with illusion."
– David Cronenberg
Lady In White is a superb, old fashioned ghost story - I havent seen it in 15 years or more...I'll be staying up to watch tonight, thanks for the heads up.
Trash heaven on ZoneHorror today - EMPIRE OF THE ANTS is playing as I type this and tonight we have HOWLING II! Yay!
The end of an era tonight. Jerry Orbach's last episode of Law and Order (and the season 14 finale) is on five at 10.50 pm.
