Yep - I've always wanted to do a documentary on Milligan, maybe I should just doggedly pursue it for a couple of years. With the last few years experience shooting interviews and making-of stuff for low budget movies, I'd certainly be up for bringing the idea back.

A few years ago I went round Hampstead taking photos of locations etc- not currently online but I think I still have them. I know a box set would be unlikely but I've always contended that he could do with his 15mins in the spotlight, a film or two at the ICA would be cool.

Hello I'm Jon, I live in Holyhead, North Wales and work as a Night Carer in a Nursing Home(a modern purpose built one, not one of those spooky old homes tucked away in the wilds).
Favourite films include Carpenter's The Thing, Psychomania, Legend Of The Seven Golden Vampires, Dark Corners, Phenomena, The Deadly Spawn, Theatre Of Blood, The Living Dead In The Manchester Morgue, Alison's Birthday, Frightmare, Dead Man's Shoes, Demons and many, many more
Fav music includes Yello, Wire, Goblin, Front Line Assembly, Skinny Puppy, Mesh, P.I.L, Devo etc etc
Hobbies- apart from posting useless information on various internet forums, I am the captain of my locals Darts team, a supporter of Glamorgan Cricket Club and thats about it.

Yo, bro, put it there! *high five* See you didn't expect a welcome like that, did you? Anyway, nice to see new members, even if they have been watching Pyramids Of Mars a bit too much!

Welcome to the forums! Good to see you here. We discuss DVDs and pre-cert videos here, as well as cinema stuff.

BTW, I guess you are aware that you are using the wrong key for your apostrophes?

ps: this forum uses the same software as pre-cert. It will take me a while to get pre-cert configured and properly up and running, so a little patience is needed.

    ' is correct, not - ` - you're typing backward apostrophes.

Probably won't be a regular poster because I'm spread over several forums (AVManiacs, Love, Lock and Load, Pre Cert, Twitch, Mondo Movie etc) but thought I'd register so I could pop in now and again. Cheers.

Re: New Members - introduce yourself here

Ok, time to say a proper hello.
I´m from Sweden and enjoy all kinds of films, from the peaks of Werner Herzog, Maya Daren, Andrei Tarkovsky, Bela Tarr to the dephts of Tonino Ricci, Luigi Batzella, Demofilo Fidani. What i´m not that interested in is the more middle-of-the-road stuff, if it doesn´t happen to include yetis, sharks or gigant monsters. I have a very soft spot for those mixing art/trash like Jess Franco, Alberto Cavallone and Jean Rollin. Also collects spaghettiwesterns, primaraly on old vhs-tapes.
Most technological talk goes over my head as i´m not all that bothered with that. Spent a big part of my teens (when not passed out drunk on punkconcerts...) at the Stockholm cinemateque watching much of the filmhistory on old, worn prints or watching vhs-tapes of horror and trash at home with friends, and that´s basically the quality i like... I have nothing against dvd/blu-ray at all though, except for not having a blu-ray palyer that is.
I have a 10 year old son who loves to watch Santo, Winnetou and cliffhanger-serials in the evenings.
Also, i tend to get obsessed by certain things over various leghts of time, right now it´s the Bigfoot/yeti stuff, but i have a feeling the next one is (oh no!) Andy Milligan, as i´ve allready slow started by picking up a couple old tapes... past, and not completly forgotten or supressed, obsessions includes: Sun Ra, the Blood and Black Lace Giallo book, GG Allin, bullfighting (a short time), the Nightmare USA book etc. etc..

Eh well, I have been into film of all kinds, and dvds from all over the world, for quite a while. Still have my Malata 996 dvd player in stylish disco gold, but recently upgraded to the modded Oppo bdp83, along with my first Hi Def display, a Mitsubishi projector. So now let's see what kind of trouble I can get into with blu-ray. Other than that, I like music that goes crunch, and books with lots of words in them, all of which makes me a bit of an oddity here in the middle of the States. That's pretty much it.
