the original post did come across as a little self important.

But I decided not to make a flippant remark about it, although it would be fun.

    Sorry to go off topic.

Cloud the reason I didn't take my sarcastic comments about your post, as regards giving Almar your list of films you'd like Shameless to release, was because I deemed the subject worthy of public discussion. Like Sic mentioned I'm not the only one who found your post to be a bit on the self important side which made me want to voice my opinion. Maybe you should have worded your post a little differently

I've already told Almar as much but have promised him a list of the films I'd like to see them release, I really must get it done soon, I keep putting it off.
One more thing if you want to keep things friendly and prevent arguments you should stop calling people cheeky bastards.

Well Jonny I called you a "cheeky bastard" because quite frankly I thought you asked for it. Sometimes I do wonder if you're the forum's self appointed police officer, I really do.

Anyway shall we get back on topic and try putting this behind us? If you have anything more to say on this I suggest we take it to PM.

And SicCoyote... no I'm gonna resist responding to that. Yeah I'm gonna resist.

Can we cool it a little please guys?

In all seriousness I think it is great that the Shameless guys are accepting input from us humble fans about what we would like to see them release.

However, I'm sure everyone can appreciate that given the limitations of the UK marketplace, rights issues, etc, the chances of them ever releasing most peoples requested titles is remote at best.

I agree that it is a crying shame that for whatever reason a decent, uncut release of Night Of The Demon is a no go as that is one prospective release I would love to own.

Look - they're not really a cult movie label until they put out Headless Eyes. They're just pretenders really. No? Let's get real. Frankly, they're Shameless.

Do you think this has any chance of working?

    Re: Shameless DVD releases

Possibly old news but I was quite pleased to see Shameless will be releasing Umberto Lenzi's Oasis of Fear. Good news, as this is an interesting little oddity with Ray Lovelock, Ornella Muti, Irene Papas and some toe tappin' songs. They are also releasing the average Watch Me When I Kill (aka: The Cats Victims) and the disappointingly tame Strip Nude for Your Killer, which I suspect many already picked up on Blue Underground.

    Oasis is due 28th August.

I picked up some Shameless discs at Zavvi recently and have to say, they look really great together and are really nice discs....it makes it quite tempting to get the lot. I still wish they'd release more neglected titles such as Oasis, rather than revisit titles covered numerously already, but still...

God bless these guys. I've been picking up the releases in zavvi for £8 each, which is about right for what are barebones releases - albeit with sparkling transfers.

Hello everybody. I am responsible for Giallo dvd list at:

    elitisti: Giallo on DVD

I try to keep it as accurate as possible and I hope that you will find it useful as well. There are other details missing also but I have found it extremely hard to find any technical specifications about Shameless releases. Maybe you could help me? You can send those details by email (the address you will find on that page behind link Feedback) or posting here if that's ok with forum administrators.

Yeah I agree as I do not see the point in buying films I already have and most people have too, maybe it is for those who do not own any ?

Re: Shameless Films UK Euro-Cult DVD releases

I think Marc's said before that it can be incredibly expensive to lease titles not yet released on dvd (which is probably why they aren't on dvd).

If they are already out there in another region I should imagine it would be a bit cheaper.

Little bit embarrassed. Oh yeah, they do list those details. I have only looked the table on the right hand side, not the descriptions. Thanks for pointing me out to the right, very surprising, direction.

I must admit to not knowing that much about the films that Shameless have been releasing.I'm more interested in Italian splatter flicks, stuff like Fulci's zombie movies,Cannibal Ferox,Demons,Anthropophagus, etc. What would you guys recommend to me as a good starting point with these Shameless discs? Don't suggest New York Ripper,I've got that.

Hard to say really if it's only the splatter side of European movies you want as there hasn't really been much of that released by Shameless so far.

Top picks from the stuff they have released, as far as I'm concerned, are...

    Night Train Murders
    The Frightened Woman
What Have They Done To Your Daughters?
    Phantom Of Death
