    Re: Severin New titles

For me personally Inglorious Bastards, Devil Hunter and Papaya are three must buys. However, I already own both Bloody Moon and Cannibal Terror on DVD and while both are fun in the trashy sense I don't see either as being worth a double dip, even though the release of Bloody Moon I own is less than perfect in terms of quality.

I'm in the same boat as Jack, as much as I love Bloody Moon and Cannibal Terror I just don't feel tempted enough to double dip though I've no doubt Severin have done a splendid job on both.

What I REALLY wanna know is when The Sinful Dwarf is coming out.

The Inglorious Bastards is going to have a rather nice (and as yet unannounced) surprise

Me too Cloud as that film looks an absolute hoot.

I'm also in agreement that Severin are doing a fantastic job getting these cult gems and outlandish obscurities onto the market uncut and in the best possible version.

I'd go so far as to say they are probably the best exclusive producer of horror and exploitation DVD's around at the moment.

Without knocking this off topic I would actually argue that Mondo Macabro are the best at the moment closely followed by NoShame. Shriek Show was always my favourite but they don't seem to be doing much nowadays which is a shame because they've released some real corkers.

By the way are NoShame finished or still going? I heard that Door Into Darkness had been cancelled...

I don't yet own any Severin discs - many of the actual movies seem to get lukewarm reviews even though the presentation / extras are apparently excellent. As a Franco nut, I will HAVE to get hold of Devil Hunter (which I've never seen before) and the terminally trashy Bloody Moon.

Would be the 'special surprise' then! I've got a few of Severin's discs, I'll be watching Beast In Space tonight hopefully. I'm intrigued by Love Goddess purely for the fact it's another D'Amato tropical slaughterfest. I'm not a fan of Franco at all, but I'll be getting Bloody Moon and Devil Hunter. Bloody Moon I saw when Vipco released it so a clean copy might change my mind. Devil Hunter I'm just intriged by, full stop!

Apparently the Severin release of 'Stone' has now been canceled. So the best bet is to track down the recent Australian release.

    Re: Severin New Titles

I've just updated the Severin Films website with that cool news I promised you all.

Inglorious Bastards street date put back until 7/29 - but with good reason!

As excuses go, that's a good one. This just moved into the 'Will-purchase' list.
