Quatermass and the Pit (blu) from Amazon. The quality is supposed to be 110% on this one so can't wait to watch it. Used to creep me out as a kid, especially everything you don't see.
Watch the magic pumpkin!

not sure when ill be in the right mood for some of them though
Killer Inside Me is a pretty well made but also very disturbing film, extremely violent, not a date kind of a film if you catch my drift or anywhere where females might accidentally walk in
sounds like a good one.
just ordered
zina (r2)
king lear (brook) (r2)
eraserhead (german blu)
Not sure about that, jockfun28 - I know a girl who finds certain elements of A Killer Inside Me... well... compelling, shall we say...
Anyway, recent buys;

Can only say i love the title of the Stanhope dvd (?).
found a sealed copy of Return of the Pink Panther in a charity shop.
Am also looking forward to Adam Chaplin, trailer is loopy.
My latest buys aren't buys at all, they're all going into wish lists, or some online dump category for the future. I've seen the Ingmar Bergman Collection, £300+ on Amazon, can't justify spending that much, they're probably low on stock -- but as we know that happens when there's only one, the price goes into orbit.
I wont have this for years but along with Akira Kurosawa's "Early Kurosawa", c/o BFI, it's on a sort of elite cinema list of sorts! Boxsets seem to be the best buys these days for buffs like me....
I was with Lovefilm for a long time, who now appear to be really turning up the heat on streaming now that Netflix is on our shores, and hired pretty much everything I wanted to watch. I've watched too many films, if that's possible, so now, I watch fewer films but try to find flims that pass a s test of sorts,'why should I watch you??'.
This works and to be honest, if you really want to watch a film closely, you know what I mean guys, no family, friends, cat, aliens, distracting you, time has to be found. I reckon I'm getting down from 5-8 a week, for years and years, to 2-3 a month, in terms of seeking quality, what appeals and is a worthy watch!
Walkabout is on BBC4 soon, never seen it, looks interesting, films that are a bit unusual or like W are what gets my attention these days, I've seen too much of the other stuff, and HW's latest films, the plastic look of the CGI has me often looking backwards to escape, a shame really, but there you go!

Not yet, Hamish, it's been one of those elusive little buggers that slips through the net, you know, that mysterious lore of the universe where you're destined not to view a flim, keep missing it, or something like that. When you mentioned it, for some reason I thought it was being remade, but a quick search of web and I didn't see it.

Charity shops I know seem to have the usual shtick, I'm more likely to find NEVER BEEN KISSED, than any quality cult, off-beat, or rare and collectable films. I need to look more closely, perhaps.
My wife bought me the new Shameless version of Dellemorte Dellamore as a present. Got it from Amazon. Definitely one of my most favorite horror films ever!
Watch the magic pumpkin!
2 LPs by god Sammy Petrillo which were produced by genius Dick Randall, My Son, The Phone Caller and All About Cleopatra. Now to set up the turntable again.
