What's Your Latest Buy - and From Where?

Not sure where to start this. Just looked in the old What's your latest DVD/soundtrack buy? thread and can see that you can't reply in there. So I'm starting a second thread off, hopefully in the right folder. I've altered the thread title to cover music albums and books, along with DVDs and soundtracks.

    Film:

    Butterfly on a Wheel (R2)
    Waitress (R2)

    TV:

    The Equalizer: Season One (R2)
Mission: Impossible: The Complete Fourth Season (R2)
Murder, She Wrote: The Complete Seventh Season (R2).

    American Werewolf in London SE.
    I Want Candy.
    The Astronaut's Wife.
    Go.
Ring 1 and 2 (Box Set ) Remakes.
    15 Mins.
    Lethal Weapon 4.
    Basic Instinct 2.
    The Grudge (Original Version ).
Planet of the Apes (2 Disc Special Edition).

    Lola (aka Twinky )
    .

A bit disappointed in Lola as the company saw fit to substitute the title song for some other rubbish music. cut by the BBFC (Cinema,1989 & 2001 releases ) I understand as well (according to IMDB anyway and not sure what was cut actually ) maybe I should have got Twinky instead, which I have on video but not on DVD.

Although it is claimed on IMDB the 2006 Orbit release restores all the cuts Marc himself raised the discrepancy in running times here.

    BBFC info here.

Try using a search engine Gatt, IMDB is not always accurate.

The Sister Streetfighter Collection (r1) a 4 film set.The first film is cut a lot more than stated on the BBFC website so i assume a heavily cut "R" version missing some grisly violence including a graphic disembowelment was submitted.

Grant, is Night Moves uncut on R1 and does it have any extras? This is a Gene Hackman film I've been interested in getting.

Many thanks. Just in case I'm being wound up, it isn't the Christopher Lambert film called Knight Moves? I'm not saying you can't spell properly.

I wouldn't be interested in crap like that. Its the Hackman film, I wouldn't wind someone up to buy the wrong film mate.

Just thought I'd ask, in case I was being wound up. It hasn't happened to me before I don't think. I have been to see films at the cinema I wish I hadn't gone to see (The Muse for example).

    ******

    CD:

    Brandi Carlile - The Story

    DVD:

Ashes to Ashes: The Complete Series One (R2)
