I have awful dupes of Malabimba & it's "remake" Satan's Baby Doll they are both guilty pleasure trash classics IMO......with the fantastic Maria Angela Giordano (of Burial Ground, The Sect, Giallo In Venice) playing the part of a nun in both........it would be interesting to see if they put out the full hardcore version of Malabimba.....all you pervs out there I'm sure will be interested in the stunning Katell Laennec (the Malicious Whore herself).....some interviews with Giordano would be nice but that would never happen as I remember reading an interview in Eyeball (I think) that her marriage to the producer was abusive and she felt the films an extension of that.....these are most definitely on my must have list

Expect a beautiful new transfer from the original negative.

Atlast, 'Emanuelle Around the World'. Been waiting for this one to get released (used to have the first five mins on an old VHS tape after another film). 'Emanuelle in Bangkok' is good fun, mainly thanks to Nico Fidenco's knee slapping soundtrack. This boxset sounds a must.

Shame no one seems to have been able to release the original Black Emanuelle yet, including the hardcore inserts...... Does anyone know, if there is a long winded rights complication stopping it? I would have thought it would have come out within the last few years otherwise surely.........?

Well, here is something I didn't expect. Optimum UK are re-releasing the original Emmanuelle (1974) to DVD, with apparently an interview feature and bonus footage (?). The 2001 Momentum DVD was cut by 38 seconds of a rape scene, but the BBFC site isn't showing the latest version, so not sure if it will suffer again (another softcore film, 'Black Venus' was cut by 2 minutes recently of a similar type scene).

The cover-art is a little too NSFW to paste here, but I've got shots on my upcoming page.

I wonder if anyone will ever release the earlier Io, Emmanuelle (1969) to English language DVD - it stars the very attractive Erika Blanc in the lead role, and co-stars Adolfo Celi! Apparently it is a lot more subtle than the French films.

Re Emmanuelle - The BBFC have waived all cuts to this film. It's the first time that they have passed the uncut version.
