I'm sorry for being obssesive over these titles but i love 'em.
I bought synergy's releases of basket case 2 and 3 for £4.49 each (bargain) and the picture quality is quite good.
however I couldn't stop thinking about how cool it would be to have these as special editions. I think the UK is the only country to release these titles on DVD.
Are Synergy still in existence cos if not could anchor Bay get the rights to these and release them in special editions from their original masters. (although people say these were shot full frame, yes i know the first film was cos of it's 16mm origins, but Frank henenlotters brain damage was shot widescreen and from certain shots in basket case 2 and 3 it looks like these were filmed 1.85:1 {there abouts}, could you try and find widescreen masters if possible).
It would be cool to see interviews with star Kevin Van Hwentennryck, dircector Frank Hennenlotter etc, commentaries also and other fun stuff.
By the way does anyone know what became of Kevin Van Hwentennryck cos he was quite goofy and should have appeared in more genre films. He could have been another Bruce Campbell.
Frankenhooker would also be good as a special edition.
Anchor Bay please consider this. Synergy coleector's editions don't match that as they only have trailers. If you could do a deal with Tartan for the first film that would be cool too.
