Something strange has started happening with my TV and PVR. Both remotes seem to be acting weird, the PVR one more than the TV one. The TV one switches the TV on sometimes, but other times nothing happens. The PVR one is worse. I press the on/off button on the remote and it does nothing. I've found that if I hold down the button, the PVR will turn on in a random length of time. It just doesn't make any sense, more so because it only seems to have started from yesterday afternoon!
I've looked at the remotes through my digital camera and they are definitely going off. My CD remote works fine, the CD player being located about 15cm below the PVR. I would have thought that any interference would have made all IR contact problematic. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? I can't believe this is just down to coincidence.

My Oppo remotes - which have illuminated keys - "act up" when the batteries need changing.

I put new batteries in both remotes, but to no avail.
I have a feeling with the TV, that it's a coincidence, as it has started to work a bit better with the remote now. It still misses the odd button push, though.
As for the PVR, is it possible for the IR receiver to become faulty?

Something like this happened to me, and then it just corrected itself, it really did feel like the technical demons were out and playing around. I figured, in the end that because we're working off equip now that is computer-orientated, that sometimes the programming fouls up because as you press or keep pressing, the insturctions overload. I've noticed how much slower the TV and Player instructtions take to process. so maybe it's something like that, a sort of code problem that will self-correct.
I also changed batteries, but it was not a battery problem.
