I'm not really into big budget Hollywood action flicks, but for some reason I ended up seeing Bad Boys II recently. Two and a half hours of brain-numbing MTV-style action, probably more firepower than was seen in Iraq, and cribs from at least half a dozen other movies.
There are 'humourous' scenes in a morgue and a car chase when corpses fall onto the road only to be run over (a bit reminiscent of Hitchcock's Frenzy), a car chase that destroys a shanty town (didn't Jackie Chan do something similar?), close-ups of people being shot through the head and a comic scene in which Martin Lawrence takes Ecstasy.
All this and it's only a '15'. I was a bit shocked, to be honest. There are some good things in it, but it's too long and overblown and veers wildly in tone from comedy to violence. But I would have given it an '18' definitely ;)
