"Through the Looking Glass" (porn, briefly, as art?)

... is there an 'uncut' dvd version of this film out there? Have found a vhs copy. Way back when watched it at a friends house after he 'removed it' from his dad's collection, curious to see it again.

And always wondered what happened to these, vhs, dvd? Would be interesting to see how these look now. Vintage filth.

There is a US DVD on the Video X Pix label. It is the uncut, hardcore version of the film, although the presentation leaves a lot to be desired (sound problems for one portion of the film, murky tape to disc tranfer etc). The film was also shot in a soft version which played in UK cinemas (albeit further censored by the BBFC) in the 70s.

I interviewed the director of the film a few months ago and the results will hopefully be published in the not too distant future.

There were rumours of a remastered US Blu ray release a couple of years ago but nothing has materialised yet.

The vhs version (cut, of course) is both murky, very low quality and jumpy. It's certainly a curiousity, completely unlike the thousands of pump and grind displays which from my impression, and deadeningly, seem to make up over 99% of porn-output. This is probably why I remember it. The Electric Blues, an I've only seen 008, also seemed to be a strange blend of the erotic and the out and out strange - yet simple, commercial and obvious in comparison with TTLG.
