all 3 stories starred the same actress i cant remember the first 2 stories but the last one has always stuck in my mind...woman buys this wooden african doll that has a locket around its neck its holding a spear and has long sharp teeth. the locket gets broken and the doll comes to life and chases the woman around her apartment biting and stabbing her. she catches the doll puts it in the oven and incinerates it. when she opens the oven a cloud of smoke goes in her face. she then phones her mother and tells her to come over.the last scene the woman is crouching on the floor stabbing this huge carving knife into the foor she opens her mouth and has the same sharp teeth as the doll. love to know what it was called as it scared the s**t out of me.

If it was from a few years back...wouldn't be TRILOGY OF TERROR!?

The doll taht you described looked like the picture on the cover.

I have never seen it but remeber working in a video shop about '95 and seeing it on the rack.

Might not be though....

With Karen Black (looking a tad younger than her HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES appearance I might add).

Anchor Bay US (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00000JXVQ/mondoerotico) has this TV movie on DVD.

I watched this tonight - I've already written two reviews this weekend, so couldn't be bothered to do so with this one.

In short, one poor story, one mediocre one, and one great one. It's all packed in 72 minutes - so it never drags. Think the "Hammer House of Horror" TV show, only shorter (each episode is shorter, I mean) and you get the idea.

Karen Black does well, and as an anthology film, it works well. Not sure I'm in any rush to see it again, to be honest - but for those wanting a full horror collection, that one story (Amelie) makes it worthy.

Hey Marc, how good/bad is Trilogy of Terror II?
