Does anyone have the Australian DVD of this Mario Bava film and, if so, can you comment on the quality of the transfer?

I read somewhere else (probably at AVManiacs or Latarnia) that it's a straight port of the US release by VCI.

There is also an Italian DVD available. Can anyone shed any light in the video quality of that release?

Oh, man, I am sorry. I clearly have things mixed up. Haven't heard anything about the Australian 'Whip and the Body' at all. It was the 'Blood and Black Lace' I was thinking of.

As for the Italian DVD, there's a very small comparison in this thread (http://thelatarniaforums.yuku.com/reply/83186/t/Mario-Bava-films-on-DVD.html#reply-83186). It's definitely better than the VCI, but it has no subtitles.

I'd definitely recommend the Italian dvd, it looks gorgeous and has an English soundtrack option for non-Italian speakers.
