freaks on r2 ???

does anyone know if freaks is out on r2 dvd ??? it is listed on play but no release date !!!! this 1932 cracker of a film was banned for years !!! thanx............zanner. :confused:

saw this years ago on bbc2(part of ahorror double bill) and found it quite a disturbing film always remember the shock ending when freaks turn on the woman thats been cruel to them.

hi agent cooper, yes it is a very disturbing film & the reason it was banned coz they used real disabled people to play the parts. it reminds me a bit of the league of gentlemen........very dark & disturbing!!!!!

Warner Brother's released it as part of their Maverick Director's Video collection a few years ago. I possess a copy. And here's an interesting fact to wow all your friends...

its already been out on region 2.i got one off ebay as a gift for a freind,ill ask him what label it was out on.im sure it was a company that sells throbbing gristle c.ds and videos somthing like jettisound ?

Yes, it was released on UK DVD a few years back by Visionary (who own offshoots such as Screen Edge).

Sadly deleted though. I think it's Amazon who have the UK DVD re-release date as 2010?!?!
