One of the laws of attraction states this: "The simplest way for me to look at the law of attraction is if I think of myself as a magnet, and I know that a magnet will attract to it." In other words; if you see it in your mind, you're going to hold it in your hand. Or: if you can think about what you want in your mind, and make that your dominant thought, you will bring it into your life.
Baloney and pretentious, perhaps. But I had what I believe to be a minor experience with the law of attraction very recently. I like to collect Hammer films on and off. One of which I've been after for a long time is Lust for a vampire. I have the stand alone of Vampire lovers, so I didn't really want to fork out for the double disc set which includes both films, but decided to place an order for it with Amazon anyway for the new year.
After putting the film on my wish list, I went up the high street. British heart foundation charity shop was open so I popped in to have a look round. Scanning the DVD shelves I found, much to my surprise and pleasure, the 2 disc release; Vampire lovers & Lust. I was surprised. Normally this shop never has anything other than blockbuster type DVDS. I've certainly never seen any Hammer films there before. It was going for a song as well, cheaper than Amazon. Well pleased. So I bought it. Naturally.
Today I had to go to another town about 6 miles away on an errand. There's a British heart foundation charity shop there too. I popped in, principally to placate my 7 yr son who wanted to buy a book, a cheap toy. while he was looking at the books I had a quick scan of the DVD shelves. Not much on offer; then I saw it; the stand alone Warner's release of Lust for a vampire. I laughed at this. It's not a DVD you come across every day, is it? To find the film I'd been thinking about buying, a film that is not hugely in demand, in two different chains of the same charity shop, is a bit odds against, don't you think?
It's easy to dismiss this maybe as nothing but perhaps there's more to this law of attraction after all.
