I really like the movie Strange Invaders, and read on another forum that its the sequel to the film Strange Behaviour by the same director. Does anyone know if this is so?

Both films are by the same director but they are not related storywise.
Strange Behaviour was originally released on video as Dead Kids over here in the early 80s.
I much prefer Strange Invaders - an underrated classic.

Is it worth picking up then? I saw that there are a nice edition out from Synapse with commentary.

Strange Invaders is one of my perennial favourites - I watch it at least once a year. Strange Behaviour I watched once back in the early 80s and have never been able to sit through again.

I really like Strange Behaviour... Great music from Tangerine Dream... Very weird atmosphere... The best of the Hemdale Aus/NZ based productions.

Strange Behaviour is a fairly solid little flick. I picked up the original Elite disc. Worth it for that hilarious dance number alone. Part of which you can see on the trailer:

In addtion to the standalone Midnite Movies release, Strange Invaders was also reissued on a US R1 DVD double bill partnered up with Tobe Hooper's underrated 1986 remake of Invaders From Mars.

Strange Behavior is wicked! One of my favorite party scenes in any film ever.
