This page (http://www.sonypictures.co.uk/homevideo/catalog/catalogDetail_DVD5035822083837.html) on the Sony site seems to suggest that we should be seeing a UK release of this currently unavailable Hammer adventure on DVD in April. They also list two American Robin Hood films - Bandit of Sherwood Forest and Rogues of Sherwood Forest.

I saw Sword on BBC a couple of years back and it is probably the least enjoyable of the three Hammer Robin Hood films but one that Hammer fans will probably want to pick up - particularly with Peter Cushing playing the Sheriff of Nottingham.

What do they mean by "mail order only"?

I picked up an old VHS copy of Sword Of Sherwood Forest a few years ago. Aside from a typically good Peter Cushing performance I thought it was pretty forgettable stuff with an ageing, portly Richard Greene making for a feeble Robin Hood.

I haven't seen either of Hammer's other two Robin Hood pictures so I can't really make any comparison.

Oooh, rather nice. Finally some big studio artwork that doesn't try to sell a classic film as a modern straight-to-video project.
