Can anyone tell me if he shot all his films full frame or widescreen?

imdb.com state little shop of horrors was filmed 1.66:1 but all the releases over here are full frame. Which one is correct?

Also, there are four DVDs of little shop of horrors in the UK (all cheap) but can someone tell me what is the best version to buy picture quality wise.

Thanks.

It's doubtful that Corman shot it with a fullscreen presentation in mind, but it's possible I suppose.

Most of Corman's Poe/Price productions were composed and presented in widescreen 2:35:1.

Many were indeed shot in 1.66:1 (e.g X - The Man With the X Ray Eyes) so widescreen versions are often cropped top and bottom while fullscreen ones are cropped at the sides.

After he stopped directing all his cheapo productions were shot with an eye for video release so full frame is likely there, but before that he used various ratios.

As for Little Shop, I have the Eureka version (white cover with illustration of red flower top left, above the man) and that is very nicely digitally remastered (audio and video) and not cheap n nasty at all, so I'd recommend it over the others.
