Is the UK Odeon DVD is either pan and scan or widescreen?

I know it's uncut unlike the r1 disc (The snake dance) but I'm not sure of the aspect ratio.

Thanks for your reply. I had read elsewhere that the UK Odeon is uncut, but I would love to know if the DVD is widescreen or not.

According to the BBFC site the Odeon disc is full frame. Was Devils... a widescreen film?

1.85:1 I believe.

I know that sometimes mistakes are made, so I wondered if the BBFC could have made one in that instance. On the Odeon site I seem to recall that it is listed as being widescreen, but I would love to hear from someone who actually has a copy just to be certain.

I have not seen the disc myself, but quoted from a review on Amazon.co.uk

Enjoyable if rather slow British gothic horror - great to see this rare movie get a legitimate DVD release. The problem is the transfer - horrible scratchy picture which looks like it has been taking direct from an old VHS tape. The colours are really washed out too.

That doesn't sound too promising then. I'm sure it said that the film had been remastered on the Odeon web site though!
