I'll let you fans fill the rest in ;) Many were issued on VHS but many still remain unreleased on DVD.

Their intention is to release all of the existing titles within the next five years, I believe.
They even have plans afoot to do something interesting with the footage from Shada, the Tom Baker story that was shelved mid-production because of studio strike.
Sadly, The Invasion didn't sell that well, so the Beeb have scrapped plans for further animated episodes to fill the gaps left in almost-complete stories. God knows what they'll do instead. It would be nice if they colourise the episodes of the Pertwee era that only exist in B&W (these would include half of Ambassadors of Death, one episode of Planet of the Daleks & epsiode one of Invasion of the Dinosaurs). It's a fairly safe bet that they won't completely colourise The Mind of Evil, which exists solely in B&W.
As for this obssessive Doctor Who fan, I'm going to settle down later and watch the Loose Canon reconstruction of Power of the Daleks :)

It's very odd that this year there are no Dalek or Cybermen stories getting released. I tend to only buy the stories I've already seen on either TV or VHS and rent the others just so I've seen them. The Invasion Of Dinosaurs was rumoured to be getting a release with CGI effects. That of course could just have been one of the many rumours started by fans on the forums. I think there is a distinct lack of McCoy stories getting the DVD treatment, especially Silver Nemesis which I know isn't a great story in the first place but it was 25th Anniversary story. 2 Entertain seem to want to give us endless amounts of Tom Baker, I know he was playing the part for longer than anyone else but some of his stories are just terrible. A good example been The Invasion Of Time, the only saving grace of that release is the new CGI effects and Special Features. I'd like more Pertwee personally, I'm shocked that Terror Of The Autons hasn't come out yet.

Silver Nemesis is shocking! I think some of those old stories should be dropped in landfill somewhere.
I recently watched Invasion of Time - the first 3 episodes are OK, but it goes downhill fairly quickly from there!

Attack of the Cybermen is being prepped for a DVD release - it MIGHT be out at the end of the year. When it's released, it will have a 5.1 sound-mix, as this was the earliest story where all of the original audio elements are still available.
I think the Restoration Team are holding fire on Terror of the Autons until they can bring their restoration arsenal up to specs to do this title justice.

Attack Of The Cybermen is a good story, one of the few Colin Baker stories that is watchable.

The Two Doctors is fun (mainly because of Pat Troughton) and Revelation of the Daleks is a genuinely good 'un. :)

Does anybody agree with this list of the 10 best Tom Baker Doctor Who, not on dvd (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2Fbest-baker-doctor-whos-not%2Flm%2F20CHRSVYNVPRF&tag=mondoerotico05&linkCode=ur2&camp=1634&creative=6738)?
Seeds Of Doom and The Deadly Assassin would be good.
Best of all, would be Terror Of The Zygons. If they were to include new CGI effects for the Skarasen ( Loch Ness Monster ) this would be pretty much the perfect story.
The design of the Zygons are one of the very best. Would love to see them resurrected in the new series.

Revelation is one of my favourite "Classic" stories. The Doctor doesn't do much in it, though. Then again, of the new series my favourite episode was Blink.
Two Doctors has some good moments, but it's all a bit confusing and messy.

Blink is just fabulous - the supporting role of The Doctor certainly implies that less is indeed more with David Tennant.
It was a pity that Colin Baker took something of a back-seat in Revelation - I am very fond of his portrayal of The Doctor; it was a bold move to go back to a more abrasive and caustic character after such a long time.
It was also a shame that Baker & Troughton shared precious little screen-time together in The Two Doctors, as they seemed perfectly matched, unlike the Troughton/Pertwee pairing, which seemed a little artificial.

Many of the DVD releases are designed as tie-ins for the TV series hence the release of Invasion of Time and the Sontaran box set to co-incide with the Sontarans in the new series. Next up is the Invisible Enemy/K9 and Company to help out with the Sarah Jane Adventures.
However, I agree that the timing of some of the releases (eg Timelash (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000NVI2G0/ref=nosim?tag=mondoerotico05), Black Orchid (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0015083M6/ref=nosim?tag=mondoerotico05)) are pretty inexplicable when there is a lot of other better stuff out there.
They are also getting themselves in a situation where most of the Davison/Colin Baker stories will have been released (assuming Trial of a Time Lord comes out in the summer) by the end of this year but many Pertwee/Hartnell/McCoy ones haven't. Not sure why this is - Davison/Baker generally regarded as the weaker doctors so maybe they are just trying to get those all out of the way whilst the new series is still popular and then rely on the "better quality" of the others to speak for themselves in a few years.
Hopefully, the series' sabatical next year will allow the restoration team to put out what they want as opposed to what RTD wants as tie-ins for his series.

Black Orchid (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0015083M6/ref=nosim?tag=mondoerotico05) is a good release it's just rather odd that they decided to release a two part story like that. I hope 2009 brings some proper classics our way or at least not so much Tom Baker!

There's a McCoy story called Paradise Towers I'd like to see on disc. Richard Briers rules a sealed towerblock of cannibals, and uses cardboard robots with circular saws to patrol the corridors and cut up the residents. nice. Then again, if I recall, it did suffer the presence of Bonnie Langford...:(

No. I don't agree. Partly, except that Destiny of the Daleks IS out on DVD right now.

I'm going through Destiny of the Daleks now which is one of the few Tom Baker's I'd never seen before - I'm quite enjoying it. The DVD is very good quality.
With Brian of Morbius out in July the 2 best Baker's missing are Seeds of Doom and Deadly Assassin.

I'm taking a sabatical from buying the discs, I was buying them all but when they decided to release a load of them budget price I thought, might as well not bother for a bit and get them when they're cheaper. Still got about 50 of them.
Glad I pre-ordered Key To Time seems to be going for stupid money.

Nice to hear that The War Machines is coming - the people who purchased the recent restored CD version are going to be pissed. They'll probably have a little featurette about the missing few seconds. WOTAN betide the RT if they don't make a good job of this one... :p

Sell it quick if you want to make a profit Sic as it's being re-released in a normal box set without the special packaging.
