Couple JOHNNY TO films are coming this month. Optimum home Entertainment’s announcement of the UK Region 2 DVD release of two of his class-A thrillers. ‘Exiled’ & ‘Election 2.’

Exiled
“1998: Macau. Every living soul jumps at every chance to make quick money before the Portuguese colony ushers in a new era under the Chinese rule. Against this background come two hit men from Hong Kong sent to take out a renegade member trying to turn over a new leaf with his wife and newborn baby. They soon find themselves in the throes of a dilemma when two of their former associates also show up, intent on thwarting them at every cost.”

Election 2
“Jimmy is an educated gangster: a member of one of Hong Kong’s oldest triads, Wo Sing, and in line to become its next Chairman. However, Jimmy wants to leave the Triad, go clean and build his own legitimate business empire. The irony that to do this he must first take control is not lost on him, and as he starts on a violent campaign trail an altogether greater power looms to threaten the future of both Wo Sing and Jimmy himself.”

Both discs hit the shelves on 22nd October 2007.

For reasons that make no sense I am often more forgiven of asian action films these days. Might be fun these.

Sounds good, Black. I'm definitely interested in Election 2, having watched Election last week, well worth getting by the way.

Johnny To is a great filmmaker and his films are well worth checking out. I can heartily recommend Exiled (maybe watch The Mission first since I think Exiled is supposed to be its companion piece), and I am eagerly anticipating watching Election 2 soon after finally getting round to seeing the first one.
